Today is my mom's 40th birthday. Last night while she was at a work meeting, my aunts, grandma, uncles and cousins went over the the house and did some decorating!
The funny thing is that when my mom got home, she blamed my dad for doing all of this, when in fact, he had no idea what she was talking about--they had done all the decorating outside and he didn't even know they did anything, and he was inside!!
Poor dad, getting blamed for everything!

Aww thanks! I will pass the word on to her--I wish I coulda been there to help decorate, I would have driven the 2 hours home to help! I think they did a great job, they decorated it all in the dark!!

That is very cool! But it makes me feel old, since I am older than your Mom! Too bad they didn't call you, so you could take part! Happy Birthday to your Mom!

I am 21...my mom is 40!
My dad just turned 43 I do believe? I have to younger brothers that are 15 and 17!
I have young parents!

I was thinking that made me feel old too seeing as I just turned 31 two days ago.

But.....when I am 40 my son will be 24!!!! Yikes. How is it the years seem to get closer together? If I am a grandma at 40....UGH.....

My mom says thank you to everyone for their birthday wishes!!


I went out last night and got her a pair of diamond and saphire earrings, she is in love with shaphire jewelery (dark blue) so I thought she should get something nice for her big 40! I can't wait to go home and give them to her Friday when I get home!!!
