I have 5 kittens, 6 and a half weeks old - they are all very active and happy, eating solids and dry food fine. However, one of my kittens, the smallest one, seems to wee and drink a lot of water. He is constantly lapping at the water bowl, whereas I hardly ever catch the others drinking. He also wees more often than the others.

His appetite is healthy, not sure if he eats more than the others, but he is smaller than them. Could he be diabetic? Does it, or the symptoms ever occur in kittens this young? Or am I worrying for no reason?

Thanks!

I would still have the kitten checked out to be sure everything is ok because of the size difference, but I would not concerned about diabetes.

You should be glad he's drinking enough. A lot of cats don't drink much water, and it's much better for them to.

Not to be a scold, but nobody can diagnose your cat by message board. Please, if you have ANY health concerns about your kitten, SEE THE VET!
