Where do the ping pong balls go?

Are they making self-destructive ping pong balls now to make you buy more? Over the last month I have bought 3 x 6 packs of them as the cats adore them, and we are down to two after a thorough search of the house! Even the kits have been looking for their toys, behind the cooker, under the sofas, among the plants. You would think white and orange ping pong balls would show up, but I am stumped. They have gone wherever lost socks go. Does anyone else have this problem?

All cat toys in this house end up under the washing machine.
About once every two weeks, Vash will go behind it and crawl underneath, and swat them out to Ivory.

Mysterious little blue men sneak in at night and steal all the little things like socks, keys, ping pong balls and especially pens. Sometimes they take them away for a few days, then return them to exactly where you've looked for them. Sometimes they just put them somewhere else, when you know you left it on the table! The rule in our house is: you must look for something at least 3 times in the same spot before it becomes visible!

I have this problem with catnip mice. Then I discovered stashes of them under the fridge, my bed, and behind the couch. Silly kitties.

Why, of course they go to the same place that tinker toys go....they dissappear into the woodwork! (Only thing I could ever figure anyway!)

Since we had to move the sofa to make room to get our new refrigerator through the house, the cats were all there waiting - all five of them . We thought maybe there was a mouse under it or something. They were just waiting to get to all the paper balls and toys

We have that problem with the little mice toys. One time we have found them...they had been dropping them into a small box behind some books on the bottom shelf of my husband's study. Now they aren't allowed in there anymore so I have no clue where they get to!

Mine all wind up under the stove, fridge or behind the entertainment center. I just dig them out on a regulae basis or when needed.

I can totally relate to this, I was beginning to think that they were being eaten! I've bought 10 ping pong balls in the last two months, and I can only find 1! I've looked everywhere, under everything, and I can't find them. But, now you mention it, I've also noticed a few missing socks recently too

We generally find them, along with toy mice, under some shrubbery in the backyard which is conveniently placed two storeys below our balcony. The balcony is screened with netting, but somehow those balls and mice manage to escape. Some of the mice hide out in the holes of hubby's guitars. Christmas tree ornaments, on the other hand, like to hide under the carpet, stereo, or television.
Or perhaps the greeblings steal them? http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/gblings.htm

My friend was asking the other day how come my cats don't have any toys! I told them they have plenty but they all seem to disapear. Once I found a catnip mouse buried in the kitty litter. I wondering what they were trying to tell me

I found Trent's stash of balls a couple years ago. He was pushing them underneath the foot massager/foot bath thingie in the bathroom. He was pretty overwhelmed when I put them all out in a pile.

But I don't know where he stashes all of his toys now. One toy in particular I would really LOVE to find, because he adores it, and that is his honeysuckle sock. I don't have any idea where that is.

The balls still disappear, but there are so many of them that the supply hasn't run out yet.

Yup, all of those were in his stash. He would bring the balls into the bathroom to play, and end up stuffing them under the foot massager! Since they are squisky balls, he just kept putting more and more in there. We have, of course, moved the massager since we found those.

Well, I always end up with odd socks - It can be different ones each week, but always one will not have a partner!!!

I'm sure there is a blackhole in every cat household where toys mysteriously go missing, never to return again!!
