Here's my question...
I have one cat that I can see the dander on... It is pretty bad.
I comb her,
and eats Nutro.
Why does she have such a problem???

You have a case of this food is making my kids coat worse not better... it can take up to 3 full months to have the complete hair coat cycle into that shiny less shedding/ danduruff coat
.... it will get better, I promise

what is it in the nutro that helps - the fat content? i'm asking because Pixel has this problem. she won't eat wet food, or nutro, but she will eat the chicken soup kibble. is there a supplement that might help?

Buy a bottle of cod liver oil and offer half a teaspoonful every two or three days. This regime has really sorted out Milly's dandruff, and she thinks she is getting a treat!! I say, "Medicine, Milly" and she gets excited , runs around the kitchen etc. She thinks it's really delicious!

dry and wet ... mainly dry has high omega 6 which in essence tightens and makes the skin healthier and shiner thus the coat is ....

The above is what I am taught to say ... Here is personal
I have one cat that does great on the 4% in the natural choce which does have omega 3 in a smaller quanity..... My homemade canned raw girl gets olive oil anf flaxseed oil in the mix ( she has crf and the cats coats are the first to go).... My dog get 4% from her mix of dry and about the same from wet ... the wet will say 1% but you have to multiply by 4 to get the dry matter over the mosture leval....

Each animal is different , 85% do great with 3.5-4.5% linoleic(omega6) acid while I have seen some great on 2.5 and other s that need 5% plus...

If this is clear as mud just say so I will try to redo

Do a search in the Health Forum about this problem. There are quite a few threads about this. One of the things you can do along with diet that will help is a daily brushing.
