Scents: I must be the odd one out (not unusual
) as I do not much care for vanilla scent (although I cheerfully swill down diet vanilla cokes, go figger.) My most fave for personal scent would be a spicy rose, but it's very hard to find a good one, most are too sweet. I really don't use a lot of fancy toiletries. Other scents are florals, lavender, honeysuckle, lilac (another hard to find scent,) stuff of that sort. I adore candles
, and we'll usually have a couple lit around the house (out of reach of curious kitties.)

Decor items are good, I tend to use ivy and grape motifs in the kitchen and dining room.

I would like a couple of unusual egg cups. I've got a couple of little plain glass "chicken" ones, but nothing particularly unique.

I collect hand-thrown bits of functional stoneware pottery for use in the kitchen. But most is going to be comparatively expensive (I was looking at a bowl I really liked the other day but it was $55! Oh well
.)

I'm kind of moderate on cooking, only occasionally will I get in the kitchen and do an actual meal.

I do have pierced ears, but only wear jewelry of any type very infrequently. I'm mostly a t-shirt and blue jeans kinda gal. Pretty T-shirts are a very good thing (unisex size L, or Ladies XL) gardening, flowers, cats (of course) wolves, hawks (if you can find them,) horses etc. Don't go much for the cutesie type of motif. More into elegant or dramatic.

Hmmm...guess I'd better post some answers, just in case there's an SS needing info!

Love to cook! Especially now that it's Fall. I really could care less about calories, fat, etc. Not that I don't need to be worrying about them, but, phhttt...just don't care right now!
Sweets are good!
Coveted gadgets? I'm not sure about that one.
Cookbooks are taking over my kitchen shelf! Plus, I subscribe to a couple of cooking magazines full of recipes. There are a lot of fantastic recipes in Quick Cooking, so that's probably my favorite. Sometimes I follow the recipes, but they are usually adjusted to my family's tastes.
One of my favorite treats is chocolate with caramel, in almost any form.

I'm not sure that I have a favorite clothing type or accessory. Right now we're focusing on warmth here, as it's been very cool at night. I don't wear scarves or hats, it's usually a chore to even get me to put gloves on my hands!
Pretty much living in jeans and sweatshirts right now.
My ears are pierced, 3 times in each. Usually stick to very small hoops or posts. They are sort of sensitive, but sterling silver seems to be okay.
Blue is my favorite color. I prefer deeper colors. Pastels of any type just look horrible on or next to me!
Freesia is probably my favorite scent. Bath & Body works stopped carrying their original Freesia, so I buy it whenever I can find it (ebay is a good spot). Other than that, I have to be careful. Many scents give me migraines.

Candles are great. Pumpkin scents or floral, like honeysuckle or sunflower, are great. No vanilla, for some reason I have never liked vanilla candles.

Lately I've been into these: Chai tea, wine, flavored coffee (butter rum, yummy!)
I've always been into: anything with the moon & stars, books, music

Okay, this is MORE than enough information, I'm sure. I love reading everyone's posts on this, though!

Here goes for me...

Like to cook? or hate to cook? Like to cook - don't have much time since I work and the kids are REALLY hungry by the time I get off. (Have a soon to be 13 and soon to be 14 year old)

Butter and cream? or low fat? Love the taste of butter & cream. However, I think I just had a gall bladder attack. Better make it low fat.

Sweets? or savouries? Both. What I really like is sweet and salty at the same time.

Any particular gadgets you covet? Well, I need a potato peeler, but that's probably not much fun to send.

Any particular cookbook you covet? I could probably use one for fast & easy meals that teenagers would like!

For the recipes? or the ideas? The recipes. I'm stuck in a rut of only a few recipes I make right now.

Any particular treat/food you can't get enough of? Hmmm. I like nuts. or Chex Mix. Oh wow, I could eat a ton of that!

Favourite types of clothing accessory? I like the pretty jewely sweatshirts, size XL. I also like Pooh/Eeyore.

Dress style/favourite outfit?! Black pants and a jewel-tone sweater

Pierced ears or not? Pierced, and 14 kt. gold is best cause of metal allergies.

Favorite colour? Blue/aqua tones, coral/pink.

Favourite scent? any cooking or food scents, "clean scents", and spicy flower scents

What do you think of getting something that's used, but is still in really good condition? Hey, I'm Scottish. I think that's a really good idea!

OK...now if MY secret Santa person would only post...tap, tap...

Where my cats are
What are things that you need in your home, you know, for final touches???

I'm currently re-doing my kitchen in a chili pepper and tomato theme. I'm using earthy versions of the colors though. My walls are a taupe/brown. My accents are dark sage, burnt yellow, and a deep earthy red. I've finally seen some chili pepper things out in stores and catalogs too. I just dont' like the little men on them. Thats deffinatley not what I want in the kitchen!

My living room is the same brown as the kitchen but with ivory and cranberry accents. The bedroom is a little lighter than the kitchen and living room with dark apple red and gold accents.

I don'r have many paintings and throw pillows for the bedroom would be nice. (The cats knock the cushions off the couch, so I haven't even tried throw pillows in there!) I have mainly black picture frames so far, but thoes are always good since I love taking pictures. Towels are good for the kitchen too.

As far as scents I love spicy scents, almond (esp in lotions!), coffee, and musky scents like yankee candle's Storm Watch. I don't like soapy scents but flowers are usually good. I like cookie or baking scents too.

Like to cook? or hate to cook? I love to cook, but I havn't gotten back in the groove of it yet since DH came home. I'm working on it! I like baking the best I think!

Butter and cream? or low fat? Low Fat!

Sweets? or savouries? Both.

Any particular gadgets you covet? I love gadgets! I'm not sure I need any though

Any particular cookbook you covet? I like recipies from around the world. Especially family type recipies. i.e. I just got my great grandma's recipie for pizzels!

For the recipes? or the ideas? Both

Any particular treat/food you can't get enough of? I love maple sugar candy and maple syrup. Didn't get any the last time I was in NY either.

Favourite types of clothing accessory? I'm an acessory dunce.

Dress style/favourite outfit?! jeans and cute tops with sandals. I have mostly casual but I'm working on getting 'hot' things again!

Pierced ears or not? Pierced but I'm allergic to most costume jewelry so I stick away from it.

Favorite colour? Lilac Purple or dark red

What do you think of getting something that's used, but is still in really good condition? I guess it would depend on what it is?

And: What is kitties favorite toy that keeps getting destroyed because he/she plays with it so much? They love this furry thing I found at petsmart in the little toy bins. It's just about 4" long and furry. I think it had ears and eyes on it like some bug of something, but thoes are gone now. They growel if the other comes near when they are playing with it! They love little mice too!

Collections: I collect coins from around the world and music boxes.

It does get cold here so I like hats and scarves and all that. I usually go for them in pastels.

Since there's been some question over my question

What do you think of getting something that's used, but is still in really good condition?
For example, I have recieved shot glasses for various reasons. If my SS were AbbysMom (which you aren't, Karen, sorry ), I would have several to give her from my own home.
Or with rapunzel47, someone may put a gadget that they covet, that could be a little pricey, but their SS may already have, and don't use, but is still in good condition.

Ok I copy and pasted the questions from someone elses post so hopefully they're all here...

Scents: anything that smells like some homebaked dessert and beachy smells (as far as candles are concerned). fruity stuff and again tropical smelling things (as far as anything for me goes)
House decorations: i LOVE home decorations. frames are always great in almost any shape or size (our living room is so many random colors, and my room has deep reds and purples mainly)
Pamper myself with: i LOVE body stuff and nice makeup. nice hair products and stuff like exfoliants always get me excited.
Cat toy: waffle's very easy to please, her favorite things are small toy balls and little mice.
Pillows: i love decorative pillows, they're always fun. again, if it's going in the living room it would be best if it were bright...and that's the only requirement.

Favourite types of clothing accessory: i've wanted a scarf for a while (even though this is florida and i don't know how much use i'd get out of it) but i like belts as well non-clothing: fun and funky jewelry
Pierced ears or not: yep
Favorite colour: blues, pinks, and purples!!

Like to cook? or hate to cook? like to cook, though it doesn't thrill me or anything
Butter and cream? or low fat? ummm...yogurt butter?

Sweets? or savouries? both! especially sweets
Any particular gadgets you covet? not really
Any particular cookbook you covet? not really
For the recipes? or the ideas? guess this one doesn't matter thanks to my last answer
Any particular treat/food you can't get enough of? i love chocolate and peanut butter.

I personally don't have a problem with a used item if it is something "hard" like glass or pottery, but i woudln't like it if it were a fabric item.

What are things that you need in your home, you know, for final touches???

My kitchen is the grapes and wine theme with purples, green & a pumpkin color.

My living room is burgundy and pinks. Kinda going for a shabby chic/victorian look. I Love pretty little things to put in my curio cabinets.

My bedroom is a wreck! I hate the color, I hate everything about it. Need to find something to do with it eventually, but not now.

Bathroom is like a candlelit beige with a border of vintage perfume bottles and soaps. Pink, pale green, ivory beige tones.

As far as scents I like Spiced Pear-Yankee Candles, musky type scents, or clean airy scents.

Like to cook? or hate to cook? I like to cook some, but usually not real often except for the holiday season. Then it's hard to avoid.

Sweets? or savouries? not sure what savouries consists of, but I do like sweets! Swedish Fish, Anything Chocolate (no dark or white chocolate)

Any particular gadgets you covet? I love gadgets! I'm not sure I need any though.

Any particular treat/food you can't get enough of? Pizza, but I don't think my S.S. could pull that one off very well.

Favourite types of clothing accessory? I like accessories but not good at picking them out.

Dress style/favourite outfit?! Since I am unemployed at the moment all my scrubs are retired, so I live in jeans and whatever shirt I find comfortable.

Pierced ears or not? Pierced

Favorite colour? Purples, burgundys, pinks. Not necessarily in that order.

What do you think of getting something that's used, but is still in really good condition? I guess it would depend on what it is? Most things, that's fine.

And: What is kitties favorite toy that keeps getting destroyed because he/she plays with it so much? The like the furry mice and the glitter balls. Things they can get their claws in and throw.

Collections: Grateful Dead bears (close to but bigger than beanie baby size),
Cats!
Angels..........

Do you like to travel? YES!
Do you enjoy art from other cultures? Not sure
Food? YES
