Secret Santa Hints - (The All-in-One Version)

I've been asked to post my likes & dislikes from my Secret Santa.
Thanks for letting me know Karen.

OK...here is a short list of things I cannot use...
I don't use candles because of allergies.
I am allergic to peanuts...darn allergies.
Clothes are not a good idea...I am difficult to fit.
I can only wear gold earrings ... again because of allergies so I wear white gold instead of silver on my ears.
I guess that lets earrings out.
I really don't need anything that must be dusted. I am tired of dusting knick knacks. In fact I am tired of dusting anything. But that subject is best left for a rant thread.

Now for the good stuff...
I am easy to please.
I live a rather simple, uncluttered life style.
I love the colors of creams, greens & browns.
I am an Autumn type of person,
yet I love silver bracelets.
My kitties have white fur so dark colors don't work very well at my place.
Vanilla is my favorite scent.
Anything home made is great too.
Dexter & Sadie love anything & everything.
I love all things chocolate, especially dark.
If you do not live in So. California...
I would love something that is unique to your region, that you think is cool.
In fact...if there is something special that you just love...send one to me. I know that I will be surprised & thrilled.

What are things that you need in your home, you know, for final touches???
Nothing really but I do love scented candles or incense.

What is kitties favorite toy that keeps getting destroyed because he/she plays with it so much? Either the kind with the feathers at the end or cat dancer.

What are your favorite scents and what totally turns you off? My favorite is vanilla or french vanilla. I also love clean cotton or fesh comfort. I hate spicy, fall type scents like cinnamon.

How do you pamper yourself at home for 'me' time? I love things like face masks and bubble baths.

What things can you never get enough of because you use them up so fast?
Candles or incense.

If it gets cold where you live, how do you keep warm when you go outside? I love hoodies.

Do you wear hats or scarves? Occasionally.

Anyone else collect things from different areas? I like to. I don't collect one specific thing though. Anything that seems interesting and catches my eye. But something from where ever my SS lives would be neat.

Like to cook? or hate to cook? Love to cook.. hate to clean up afterwards.

A maid would be nice!

Butter and cream? or low fat? What's low fat???

Sweets? or savouries? I'm not too big on sweets. I like healthy food.

Any particular gadgets you covet? No.

Any particular cookbook you covet? I don't own a cookbook. lol

For the recipes? or the ideas? I'd use it for both.

Any particular treat/food you can't get enough of? I love, love, love mushrooms.

What do you think of getting something that's used, but is still in really good condition? That's fine with me. I love to go to flea markets.

If you could pick something for your SS to include in your christmas package, what would it be? I don't know!! lol

Would you rather get something that you need or just want? Either or.


Do you like to travel? I would love to travel.. don't get much of a chance to. If my SS would like to send me a ticket to some tropical island.. that's ok!!!

Do you enjoy art from other cultures? I guess so? lol I'm sort of picky when it comes to those things so I would have to know what it is first.

Do you enjoy food from other cultures? Yes. I love food from any culture. lol

Would you like a homemade gift?? Sure.

Do you prefer old fashioned things or modern things? A combination of both.

How would you describe your personal style? Vintage/Hippy/Casual.. I guess.

When you look around at the things you own, is there a picky/specific or eclectic mix? Definitely eclectic.

Is there a particular time period in history that interests you? I love the 60s.

What are things that you need in your home, you know, for final touches???

My style is really eclectic-ish... So, I am really easy to please. I like simple, no floral or lacey stuff like that...I like solid, not patterns with cutesy things on them..(well, I like them but not in my living area as a fixture )
Candles are great (see scents below ) and stuff I can use, like lotions or other pamper yourself stuff..

Scents: For lotions, I love those body buttery nutty lotions like shea or almond. I also love vanilla hand cream or spray! Umm. Vanilla!Those are beautiful..
Other things I love are:
Face masks, face moisturizer...can't live without face moisturizer. I love girl things that we should all pamper ourselves with!

Like to cook? or hate to cook?
Love to cook, especially soups and curries.

Butter or low fat? Doesn't matter..

Sweets? or savouries? Savouries..Salty..yummmm.

Any particular gadgets you covet? I like those garlic presses but never thought about buying one for myself...

Any particular cookbook you covet? not especially..I work in a bookstore

Any particular treat/food you can't get enough of?
Well,if my SS is in the UK, I LOVE twiglets or Walker's Crisps
If not, then I like munchie salty things..

Favourite types of clothing accessory?
Bangles are good, scarves, whatever...

Dress style/favourite outfit?! dressy up top and jeans with high heels.

Pierced ears or not? Pierced

Favorite colour? I like turquoise and black and shimmery like silver or gold.

What do you think of getting something that's used, but is still in really good condition? Fine with me.

Collections? I collect 1950's items. Pin-ups and kitchen items. I also like some reproduction pictures/postcards et al.. too! It wouldn't have to be vintage!

Btw, I may have forgotten but I haven't done Secret Santa since I was little...But are you supposed to let the person know in the end who you are???
How do you put a return address on the parcel if you don't??

Don't need much, but picture frames and candles are always nice.

What is kitties favorite toy that keeps getting destroyed because he/she plays with it so much? The Cat Dancer and little sparkly pouffy balls (they don't get destroyed so much as lost).

What are your favorite scents and what totally turns you off? I love spicy, cooking scents for the cool seasons and fresh scents in the warmer months. I don't like anything too perfumy or flowery.

How do you pamper yourself at home for 'me' time? I don't have much of that, but when I do, body scrubs and facials.

If it gets cold where you live, how do you keep warm when you go outside? It gets really cold here, and I try to stay warm with my winter coat and soft, cozy scarves and gloves.

Do you wear hats or scarves? Not hats so much, but I wear scarves all the time.

Anyone else collect things from different areas? Yep. I have a collection of refrigerator magnets (tacky, I know, but they make me happy) and Christmas ornaments. I also collect cows (they live in my kitchen).

I started my santa shopping today I got a few things im going to send it out about the 25th on november

i love doing this last year i had snowleop its was a blast

I like the local newspaper thing too.

Please SS, unless you are from Evansville, send me your local newspaper.

Other than this stuff, I can't think of anything else! Last year, my SS put a local newspaper in with the package so I could see where they are from and what was going on in their neck of the woods. I loved it!!!
