I'm trying to give my kits more can food lately, since I've learned it's better than dry food most of the time. But my oldest Pepper will usually only eat the gravy and leave most of the meat! Pixie, who's a kitten will eat all of her meat and go finish Pepper's if she's had to left it a really long time. I am currently feeding them Fancy Feast (using up the cans I have left). Is there another kind I can try or anyting I can do to try and get Pepper to eat the meat as well? It's kinda a waste of food, if Pixie doesn't eat it then it goes dry. Oh, and this doesn't only happen with Fancy Feast, everything else I've tried she doesn't eat the meat either. And she will eat a few bites of chicken or ground beef that I've cooked but not a whole lot either.

I agree...try different consistency's as well - you can always add a bit of warm water to a ground pate food to make a gravy from it (Patrick likes his food soupy this way).

Is this kitty into seafood? There are a number of w/seafood or fish blends out there, that might work.

Precise is one brand of cat foods that has broth - click here for page with ingredients list for each flavor of Precise canned

when went from dry to canned my cats did this too. take a fork and much down on food and mix it real well with the gravy. make it almost paste like. when the cat is in the process of licking the gravy, it will have no choice but at the same time lick up the meat.
