In the picture yowdy's points look brown in real life you can see a greyish tint to the points. We have yet to decide what color he is even the vet is undecided. Seal..Chocolate or Lilac? Anyone care to make a guess.....

Also a seal

Siamese points darken with age.
See Ivory in my sig?
She is in fact seal, but not finished darkening up, her mask is closer to what an adult Chocolate point would look like.

You think jades a seal also! I have always thought she was a chocolate. I'm glad I asked. Yowdys body has alot of white . Where jade is creamy. So I thought she was a chocolate.
I do know Lily is a Tortie I have to show her off also
You can see the red in her tail and her ears have alot of red in them.

That is one pretty little tortie point.

What is the age difference between Yowdy and Jade?

Yowdy is almost 8 years old. Jade is close to 3 years old. And Lily is going on 5 months old.

I've seen a lot of variation in point shades on Seals, as well as coat shades, but usually, Seals overall coat get a bit darker as they age.
Chocolates tend to stay pretty light.

Check the paw pads and nose leather, they'll be dark brown to black on Seals, and a reddish-brown on chocolates.

This is the best I can show you in regards to color differences between two different sealpoints.

This is a 1 year old Seal point

And this is a 17 year old Seal point

Hi I just wanted to ask a quick question (sorry if I'm hijacking!). Mica is a lilac siamese and she is pretty white still at the age of four months. She has been getting darker but do you know how much darker she will look? Will she be a lot darker? This is so interesting!

This is a pic of her:

Mica is so pretty! She has such a sweet face.....
My yowdy was this white as a kitten and his points where greyish. When he got close to a year old his body started to darken. My sons at 1st thought he had gotten his fur dirty and wanted me to give him a bath ..His chest is still snowy white. I really like the Grey points. When Yowdy was a kitten everyone thought he was a Lilac. Even now his points have a grey cast too them. The pic I posted you can't really see that grey but in real life is very obvious.
Last night after I posted about my cats pad colors I remembered that jade has one pink pad on each of her front paws and the rest are black.
I love siamese cats I have owned siamese since I was 19 when I bought my first one.

I've never seen a blue or a lilac in person, so one of the breeders, or owners will have to step in on this one.
From what I understand though, lilacs stay fairly light colored.

Mica's mother was a tortie point and she was quite white as well. Her father is a lilac point like her but he didn't belong to the breeder so I didn't get to see him.

Seal points are darker brown than chocolate points. Based upon the pictures, Yowdy is a chocolate point, and Jade is definitely a seal point. As kittens, chocolate and lilac points do look similar, which possibly explains why everyone thought he was a lilac point.

This is a young chocolate point kitten of mine:

And here is her lilac point sister:

Here is what my adult lilac point male looks like. He about 1 1/2 years old. His body, although not seen in the picture, is still very white.

Anreed, your siamese is beautiful. My little girl, SunLee is a Chocolate Point, you can see her on my siggy. She's very light. Shane is a Seal. He's on my siggy as well.
