It wouldnt really be that cold if it wasnt for the danged wind.
Yeah, but it was wet, slushy snow that's mostly gone.

Want to trade places Ryan?

I would like to trade places. Then I could play softball longer!
100° is too much, but it's not going to stay like that. I'm bringing my bats to Cali! See you soon!

I knew kind of knew my spelling was off on that one. You'd think I'd be more cautious with all the teasing I do on people's spelling.

English --- gotta love it!
You mean it's not "troff"?

I haven't turned on the heat yet. It was a very nice day today. I opened the windows and a very comfortable breeze blew into my apartment!! I guess I'm living in the right neck of the woods for today.

It's unseasonably warm here in the Toronto area. It was 27 yesterday with humidity index making it more like 33 and today was stuffy and in the twenties.

We've had all our windows open and it still doesn't get very cold at night. I expect this will change over the next week though and we'll see more seasonable temperatures.

I would much rather have the heat on!
I'm still running the AC, yes it's that icky humid weather that just won't go away.
I can't tolerate humidity it gives me a major headache, so I must run the air to feel comfortable or I would never be able to sleep.

I have a call in to my heating guy to come do the yearly inspection on my furnace. It's a gas furnace and I'm petrified of it! I really don't trust gas appliances, they scare me! It's COLD in here! It's 53 right now, with a low of 39. We'll make it back in the low 70's in a few days, but it's not gonna last. I'm cold now. I'll be cold until June or so. I hate winter.

I finally broke down and turned on the heat today. I had the door opened for the cats one last time and WOW was it cold!!!!!!
I was shivering under the covers and all the cats HAD to come and see what mom was doing after being outside on the porch!
cold paws! not a nice thing to be touched with! So I finally told them no more porch time and closed the door and turned on the heat. Hubby wasn't happy though, I turned it on to 76! I was freezing! He turned it down to 65 and told me we'd be broke if I kept it up that high all winter! Oh well at least the cats and I'd be toasty, broke, but toasty!

I hate winter! it sucks!

Under the cats, mostly.
I'm only putting the heating on this weekend because Rune is travelling into Jutland with the choir and he's not coming home til Sunday night. I intend to run around the apartment naked all weekend and not go out at all!
Aw come on.... a girls got to indulge every now and then!!

Its a steamy 62 degrees in my house-the family room is even hotter at 68 degrees (hehe) because I just shampooed the carpeting and had to turn on the heat so it can dry.
Too early to keep any heat on though its got to stay in the 40's outside to crank up the heat-if it gets cooler though we will fire up the wood stove-just haven't carried out winter supply of wood in the basement yet.
BTW-the windows are open a teeny bit yet too!!!
So I have a polar fleece top on, shorts and slippers (go figure!!)
But later this fall and winter due to heating mainly with wood-the house will be very toasty!!! (and cheap)

I'd MUCH rather be wearing shorts and sweating, than cold. I know a lot of people say "You can always put more on but there's only so much you can take off." Let me tell you, sometimes I CAN'T put enough on to get warm and I am a lot more miserable when I'm cold than when I'm hot.

Except for the word Sieve.

We've had freeze advisories here and it did snow a little up at the higher elevations so I do have the heat on. Don't know how much longer that's going to be since XCel is raising both gas and electricity rates. Quadruple layers I guess.

Shhhh... don't remind everyone!Try cheating with a portable electric heater, preferably one with a fan. They help cut down on gas usage.

My hubby switched the gas heater off at the mains last week as the weather has been lovely, but I think hes early again and now I have the electric wall heater on. My gas electric bill for the year here is $2.700.oo, this is for the heating, hot water and cooking. I pay my bill monthly so that I am in credit for when the bills come in. And now to make things worse I now have to switch the cooling fan on at night due to HOT flushes. One minute cold one Minuit hot. Oh well thats life.
