Is it just my cat or does your cat lay down on the floor with his legs spread out and eat & drink right by the water & food dish? I mean I think its cute just wanted to know if that was normal..

Haha, I have to tell you this first. As I was reading your post, Marlee is sitting her by my computer staring intently at the screen with her little head cocked to the side. I can't tell if she is able to recognize your siggy as cats, or if she is intrigued by the moving smilies! Anyways, regarding you post, Marlee is a manx, so she has pretty long back legs. When she eats/drinks she looks a little awkward cause her butt still looks pretty high up in the air! So no, I think her legs are a little too long to spread out that way, but I bet its precious! You should post a pic

We have a water filter/fountain bowl for Cassie (and Napoleon, but he drinks like a normal cat)...Cassie will mash her face into the side of the bowl and lick the water coming down from the fountain. She will also, push the fountain back into a position she likes with her paws and she does the same with Napoleon's fountain too.

So I'm not sure if my cat does the same thing yours does when drinking but it is a quirk that is very cute

Well my kitty lays all the way on the floor kinda like he's getting ready to take a nap type thing.

I don't have a fountain, but one of the self-watering bowls (hope you know what I mean) its almost like two connected bowls with the front one open and the back one with a top over it with a water cannister....anyways, instead of drinking out of the open first section, she sticks her nose way back into the covered section to drink, so when shes done, she is wet all the way down her chest!

Cassie gets her pretty little face wet, it's so cute. She'll come over to us, wanting affection, after she's done with it, and her face is SOAKED, it's like we gave her a bath!
We will also be watching TV or something, and we'll hear the fountain being pushed back to the wall. BF always yells, "Drink your water like a normal cat!"

What's the definition of "normal" for a cat, though, right? If it's anything like a human, they're doomed LOL.

LOL! We don't do the face-mashing, but Henry used to "recline while eating" like the ancient Romans did, we called it. We think it was because he was the runt and was always squooshed when he tried to nurse. He stopped it after about a year, but I still have pictures of him reclining to eat.

Cats are just too funny! I've always wondered what they do when they're home along...I'd love to hook up a video while I'm gone one day...
