Hi My stray cat that I brought home a couple months ago has been walking around the house meowing alot, I can tell what our other cats want most of the time but I have no idea what he wants? He acts like he is looking for something or calling someone, maybe he is looking for a female cat, he hasn't been fixed. Sometimes he acts like he is lonely but I give him attention when I can, probably more than I give the other cats. He and panther our big male cat are best buddies, they sleep in a ball together and groom each other all the time. He also sits and meows out of the bedroom window screen at night. I wonder if he misses where ever he came from. He don't act like he is in pain or anything. Maybe he just likes talking more than or other cats? He dosen't act like he wants to sneak outside or anything. I watch him when he gets this way to try and figure what he wants, sometimes he meows right before he goes to the litter box, but not very often. He was very sick when I brought him home but after a long fight and many trips to the vet he is doing great for almost being dead when he found me in the campground that day. I have had cats most of my life and most times I can tell what the are talking about but I can't figure him out. Does this kinda tell everyone how boring my life is
trying to figure out what my cat is trying to say?

He may just be a talkative type. I have one like that. At first I thought she was miaowing from unhappiness, but some cats just like to talk! lol

I would recommend getting him neutered right away, though. Male cats who aren't neutered are more likely to try and get out.

Yes, you say it yourself. VERY typical for tomcats AND Sires. A little surgery by your vet will fix this probleme very quickly. Ours were helped in 24 hours - althought that was fast above average of course.

Im very glad to hear he is well now. Warm congratulations!

Him so friendly and quickly domesticized is probably in part him being sick when you helped him. The "window" for quick and easy domestication opens in these circumstances.
The friendship with your kind domesticized cat was of course also helpful here.
