How long does it take for URI to clear up?

My KiKi was told yesyerday she has a very bad case of it
She's on meds for it..

Here eyes look terrible. I had to turn the ac off cuz I think it was irritating her eyes.. I just feel really bad for her..

i think she got worst since yesterday(well her eyes anyhow) but i know it takes time for the meds to start working hopefully she'll be better soon.. She can barely keep her one eye open and i feel bad when i gotta give her her eye stuff cuz i know her eye hurts and me holding it open til i get the stuff in there doesn't help.. poor girl..

Depending on how severe it is, it could take weeks to clear up. Did the vet think that she also had an eye infection? I know Abby did when we got her as well as the URI. We gave her an ointment for the conjunctivitus, and that cleared up faster than the URI did.

my kitty had a minor case of it, and was seeing an improvement after about 5 days, coughin went away around a week but is kinda back. and its been about 11 days so far, so even mild ones take time also, but once you notice your cat going from sleeping constantly to showing some energy, thats a really good sign.

I've wondered the same thing myself, regarding the recovery time. We just got new kittens this past weekend and one is really sick with a URI and bacteria infection.

She's been on medications for 2 days, and I can see she's improving, albeit slowly.

I haven't noticed any problems with her eyes, though. What are the typical symptoms usually associated with eye problems?

That is exactly what Abby had with her conjunctivitis.
