hi

this question is about the possible backgrounds of two different moggies

one had very solid thick bones, and a ruff that was long in the front, but not at the scruff. he had a large frame overall, and gave me (the totally breed-clueless) the impression that he had some Maine Coon in him.
are there any other breeds that have large heavy bones?

the other is about a cat who has a very narrow nose and a very thin tail, he looks a lot like an opossum! some ppl tease him about his rat's tail.

is there a breed that ordinarily has a thin tail like this , or a narrow nose or features that would make you think it resembled an opposum?
i was thinking for the narrow nose, perhaps Siamese? but i really do not know the characteristics of most breeds.

with him, the nose is a potential health problem - i have seen him breathing thru his mouth at times (when he had not been playing) and am concerned that it has something to do with what appears *to me* to be a very narrow nasal passageway.

any information appreciated
if i can figure out how to post photos of these two i will
thanks

If you are worried about the cat's breathing, ask a vet about it.

As for ancestors - who knows? That is the beauty of non-pedigree cats, there is no way to know and it should not be. Just enjoy and love the cat.

If your baby is having breathing problems - could also be URI and should be checked - just to be safe. On the what breed they are - does it matter - I sure they are just beautiful!!
