5 weeks!!

just have to share this!! saw in the ads the other day someone was giving away five week old kittens!!
half of me just wants to call and just lay it on them!! How very sad!!

Well...instead of laying it on them...why not contact them and ask about why they are giving these kittens away at such a young age. Oftentimes joe average is unaware that kittens should stay with their mom until they are 8-12 weeks of age. I also find that being kind works a LOT better than being stern with someone.

Oklahoma is not too good for kittens either. They separate them from their mothers at 6 weeks here. I also heard they spay at 3-4 weeks. Awful.

Spaying/neutering at five weeks old? OMG. that is why I haven't layed it on the above persons yet, wanted to cool off for a bit, before I call. i was surprised because it wasn't even at six weeks were ppl think it is good to let them go. I prefer twelve, but at least eight weeks.

I highly doubt that is true. 3-4 weeks is waaaay too tiny! Probably it's 3-4 months, which is actually a great thing.

You could always call and take the kittens for a couple of weeks and then find good homes for them yourself. It's at least something to think about.
