Molly has FOUR of her very own specially designated sleeping spots in my bedroom. One is the window perch where she likes to spend most of the day sunbathing and catnapping. The second is the bedroom cat tree -- in the little tunnel where she can pretend no one can see her. The third is her puffy kitty nest which I keep in my bedroom walk-in closet: she likes to use this in the winter when she wants to escape any potential draft from the windows. Fourthly, and this is a new spot, there is her leopard-print fur pillow pad which is situated next to her "ersastz mommy" -- a large stuffed Panda bear which she likes to knead before she goes to sleep. This seems to be a preferred spot in summertime.
So, anyway, tonight I change the sheets on, ahem, my bed, and when I come back from the dryer with fresh pillowcases, I find Molly lounging smack in the middle of my bed on top of the clean sheets, PURRING. It's as though, she's saying, "Thanks for changing the sheets for me, Mommy, this new bed will do nicely..."
Sheesh.
