How does your spell checker mangle members' user names?

Just some examples I've seen: lotsocats = litigates, BigKittenDaddy = Bookended, dawn of sierra = dandiflies (huh?), Hydroaxe = Hydroxy, Captiva = captive, and MoochNNoodles = Mishandles! I always get this urge to PM members and tell them what my spell checker has done with their names!

Too funny Tricia...I don't use one (can't you tell, lol!)...but what does yours do to kittenkrazy?

Well Tricia, I decided to run Flisssweetpea by my spellchecker and I think I stumped it . Not only was it not in the dictionary, but it had no spelling suggestions either

It doesn't change it, Cindy. I've got another one: valanhb is "valance". This spell checker works wonderfully if you're using Internet Explorer: http://www.iespell.com/

The spell checker's suggestions always brighten my day, and often send me into hysterics. BTW - you're "mfr"!

jcat = scat!

Probably picking up on the abbreviation for "manufacturer."

I don't use spell checkers for the most part. If I'm typing some sort of a long manuscript I'll run one to catch the typos, but for here and most of my internet "stuff" I spell well enough. And they won't catch such things as they're/their/there; you're/your; its/it's or accept/except since they're spelled correctly, just not used correctly.

"scats" is the spellchecker correction for my username...xocats.
I live & die by spell checker since you told us about it.

Thanks, Tricia. This is the 2nd time you have mentioned a spellchecker for typing here. Since I don't use IE anymore, I googled options for my browser, Safari and found I can spell check as I type!

Oh what a hoot. I don't use an online spell checker. I really should though!

I've gotten the hugest laugh out of this, as well, Tricia, and have also been tempted to tell members what the spell check did to their names!

OMG these are funny, I have to find out what happens with my name! LOL!
