So we just recently discovered that Teddy loves to bat/chase/play with dangling things. He's 8 years old, about 13ish pounds, and we want to make sure he stays healthy and appropriate, weight-wise. He's a very large cat in terms of his frame so he doesn't have any weight issues yet - and we want to keep them from happening!

Is there such a thing as playing with a cat too much? Could he get hurt? So far, we've done about 20 minute sessions at a time, then he naps or rests and is ready for more. We just don't want to over exert him.

Thanks!

As long as he has not medical issues - then you are doing great - he'll tell when he has had enough.

That's great!! Good for you!! And good for Teddy, too. A cat that age needs his exercise.
