Hi my kitty is acting strange, but i think it has to do with the dog that my boyfriends mom got at christmas. recently she started leaving the dog outside and it has been hanging out on my porch. Well kittygirl is an inside cat but i think her aggresive behavior is because of the dog, being on her territory and the fact that she doesn't like dogs. I guess i'm basically looking for conformation of my theory and is there any thing i can do to deter her aggresive behavior toward me....???

It's quite possible it's because of the dog. She can't take it out on the dog, so she's taking it out on you. The one thing you can do is limit her view so she can't see the dog. If enough time goes by, she may just adjust to the dog being there.
What about your boyfriend's mom making sure the dog is not on your porch? Aren't there leash laws in your city? Does she not know that an unrestrained dog is a danger to itself and others? Or is your housing set-up such that y'all share a porch?
