I posted something in the behavior section about one of my cats being addicted to metal. That would be JoJo:

She's about 3 and a half-ish... and 14.5 pounds... also quite the holy terror.

Then there's Jack:

He's 6 months younger than JoJo... he's a little scrawny, due to health problems. But he's getting better and should be gaining a bit. the vet wants to see him around 10-12 pounds. He was 8.5 lbs. in June when he had his last trip to the vet.

My nickname refers to Jack. He's a total **** and when I walk toward him, he flops over onto his back to have his tummy rubbed. Such the tramp.

I am a writer and photographer. Also a web designer. I have written (and now waiting for rejection/approval letters) a kids picture book about a cat who needs a home. Those I've talked to about it love the story overall and hope it gets published. So do I!!

I've considered getting a third feline family member, but I'm not so sure yet. I'm not in a financial position to adopt again. the adoption fees would kill me here in Chicago. Maybe down the road.

it can be offensive here, depending on the context. Rub Glutton just doesn't have the same ring to it. You should hear [or maybe not] some of the terms I call them at 3 a.m. when they run across my bed with claws fully extended.

I love my two little furry monsters dearly, but sometimes I wonder what life would be like without them... I always come back to the same answer: BORING!!

Jack has broken my nearly irreplaceable salt shaker (don't buy ceramic salt/pepper shakers). It was full of salt when he batted it off the kitchen counter one morning. One of them [haven't figured out which] chews on my houseplants. My couch has so many stains from spilt drinks, simply because they were in full chase mode and bounced on the couch right next to said drink.

I'm reasonably new to indoor housecats, only about 3 years. I grew up with cats in my life from birth, but my parents were insistent on keeping them outdoors. Only as young kittens were they kept indoors. After losing a few over the years to careless drivers, I'm a huge proponent of keeping cats indoors. JoJo and Jack have decent lives. JoJo has as much 'nip as she can handle, and they have free reign of the apartment. With the exception of the pantry/utility closet. I'd rather not have to extricate one of them from behind the water heater. The adventures of indoor felines...

One thing I have found is when I got a sisal area rug last winter. JoJo uses it as her 'scratch pad'. She can't destroy the thing. She tries though. Jack, however, still uses the regular carpet.

My apologies if my nickname offends anyone.

Amanda
