Chain Store Cat Foods

I understand that a lot of the cat foods at chain stores (Petsmart, Petco...etc) are not ideally the best foods for your cat. But for those limited to the selection at the chain stores... what are some of the best of the rest brands at these stores?

Royal Canin

Those are my choices
In a pinch I'd probably feed Purina ProPlan, but not if I could avoid it.

I'm not sure which brands Petsmart carry (because we don't have one where I live). Petco carries Natural Balance and Nutro. My cats do very well on the Natural Balance. They didn't care for the Nutro (possibly because the kibble was much larger than what they are used to).

Petsmart has authority which they make and is a decent food , has some corn but not by products or chem pres.

Petco only has canned petgold

Both carry Nutro , Royal canin , Pro plan

Petco has natural balence
