I'm playing hookey tomorrow...SHHHHH!!!

The home care agency that I kinda/sorta work for (got between 4 and 6 hours a WEEK from them since April, until they decided to take my client away - they said they'd find me a new one but I told them not to bother, so now I'm still technically employed there but not getting any work....) Called me this morning at 9 am to tell me that there was a meeting tomorrow with all the staff and providers, and it was a mandatory meeting so I need to be there. The meeting is from 7am to 9am, and we're getting paid for an HOUR. They did politely say we didn't have to stay the whole time, but at least an hour.

My sister works there also and they've screwed her over as well. So, we decided that they have no right to get us up at 6 am on SATURDAY when they can't even have the decency to give their providers the hours they promised when they hired them. Maybe if they'd given us more than a days notice...

Fire me...I don't care

Yeah thats no right to demand of you....but for you not to get anything in return....

IMO you and your sister should get out of there and to a better job.........

I have a separate client who is not part of this agency, I care for her independently, as and individual provider. I get most of my hours from her. My sister has one client through this agency, and the clients mother (client is a child) has said that if my sister wants to do it independently, she'd be up for that. So, this really doesn't affect either of us to terribly.
