Hi Everyone
I recently joined this forum about a week ago-same amount of time I have Patty. Patty was the cat from my job. She was a warehouse cat..not anymore..
I've decided to keep her. She led a nice life at my job..comfy furniture to lay on, food, and plently of people petting her..but the store might be closing down in the near future and she needed a home. I was originally thinking of just babysitting her for a week or two..since I was having a mouse problem..but I love her....always have..I used to play with her at work..actually used to kill time running around the store with her ..lol
Anyhow..shes seems to be adjusting well..This will be the first cat I own..never saw myself as a cat person and now here I am..
Have no idea what breed she is..thinking of taking her to the vet within a months time..get her checked up and spayed..anyhow..here she is

Thanks guys!
I love her very much..My only worry is that I might be getting a puppy in the near future..but I hope I can get them to get along and love each other as brother and sister
I'm curious to know how old she is and what kind of cat she is...hopefully the vet can answer those questions when I take her

Well, she looks like a tortoiseshell. That isn't really a breed but is a special type of cat. My Penelope is a tortoiseshell too.

As for introducing a puppy to a cat, I'm sure there are plenty of people on this site who can help you out with that. Keep us updated on pretty little Patty.

Somehow they seem to find us and convert us. I was never a cat person until my boyfriend and I had a stray adopt us 20 years ago. After that I've never been without a cat.

As to the tortietude, I never had heard about it until we got Lucy as a kitten. She is quite vocal (growling and moaning) when she is not happy with something and is the one who will swat the nail clippers out of my hand, whack the other cats and just have a general attitude around the house. When I mentioned this to the vet, she introduced me to the concept of "tortietude".

Congrats on your new addition to your home.

shes lovely.
we have a dog,we got him when he was 7 weeks old, well after about of month of the cats (i have 3) moaning about the pup, they started to get on,hes now best of buddies with reggie, and ronnie ignores, and barnaby will tolerate him,but the dog gives my cats respect (due to sharp claws and a sore nose) and they all live happily.your have to watch the dog dont steal the cat food.
but good luck
