We took in all four of my foster kittens to get nuetered on Weds. Three of them are doing great, unfortunately James is doing very, very poorly. The place he was nuetered at said they've only seen such a bad reaction once before and he may have kidney or liver disease.

Don't worry, I already have an appointment with a full service Vet in an hour.

I could just really use any sympathy or good vibes or prayers or whatever you believe in. Of course I love the little guy, and he was so healthy seeming before the nueter (the healthiest actually). Now I am just terrified of what it could be.

Got back from the vet, and I feel pretty numb.

We're doing a blood test, to see if it is the kidney or liver. He appears to be blind in one eye. He is swinging his head around wildly, and cannot walk very well at all (he overbalances). If it's not his kidney or liver, it is nueroligical.

He had none of these problems until yesterday, he was spayed weds (day before yesterday) and actually seemed ok that day.

The head foster lady is furious because she thinks he didn't get enough oxygen while being nuetered and this is what happened.

I have no idea.

I really hope that something shows up that is fixable. He's not eating on his own right now, and I can't imagine this is a good life. I don't know. I just feel so numb.

Still taking any good vibes I can get.

I feel so bad hearing this last report. Poor little guy, I do HOPE it's something that the vets can treat. How odd that he seemed so healthy just before the surgery and then went downhill so fast afterwards--it does make you wonder if something did go wrong with the surgery. You can bet I will be praying for your sweet little James and sending all of you good thoughts and good vibes--and a massive group hug
to all of you. James is an adorable, lovely kitty who deserves to live. I know that you and the doctors will work hard to help him get over this, whatever it is. I suppose the main thing YOU can do now for James is to pray for him and to love him. God bless. I'm hoping for a great improvement in the little guy, he looks so sweet! Please keep us all posted. We care very much.

Sara, I just saw this thread and I'm going to say prayer upon prayer for James! Lots of good health vibes for him and lots of hope that the vet can make him like he was before the surgery.

Sending our thoughts and prayers too. Since he's so young, maybe if there is neurological damage he may be able to learn to compensate.
