Plus a card but the only card he could find in the house was a sympathy card

The pictures do not do this justice!!

Oh, that's too funny
! Do you deserve sympathy because you're married to him?

Absolutely gorgeous! Reminds me that before too much longer I'm going to have to start the search for some ornamental Kale (somewhat hard to find down here.) so the front beds will have some color this winter.

Awwww, how sweet! Do you have a garden, or are they just for looks? What is that enormous flower?

He gave this to me for my last day of work!!
As for ornamental Kale and ornamental Cabbage its very easy to grow from seed. If you can grow broccoli or cabbage you can grow this. The only thing is the white cabbage moths will lay their eggs on the plants so if you have problems with these moths you will have to spray/dust the plants!! There is also a cultivar that grows very small heads and the heads are on a stalk that kindof look like roses!!
And it is going to be around 70 degrees today with a high of 80 degrees on Tuesday until it cools back into the 60's!! We have not had a frost yet-a mild autumn for sure!!

I only tried the stuff for the first time last year, was pleased for the most part with how it did during our "winter." I did have some cabbage loopers, which in retrospect is not really surprising. The problem with me is remembering that I need to start the things a couple of months before I "need" them
! Maybe next year.

It's actually cooler here than it has been, only going up into the low to mid 80's over the next few days (we had been experiencing 90+ temps. Very atypical, even for us.)

How sweet, and what a nice reason! Are you going to transplant to your garden? They look a bit crowded? But then again there's my knowledge of gardening which is quite minute.
