i am putting together a kitty garden for my cats...i have wheat grass, barley and oat grass, and catnip all sprouting in a cat-free area, soon i will re-pot them and put them in the kitties room. does anyone know of any other herbs or grasses that cats enjoy? id like to provide them with as much variety as possible as they are indoor only cats. thanks!

I wouldnt give your cat to much catnip, it will just lose its affect and not be anything special to your kittie. best just to give it like 2 times a week if that. but your kitty should have plenty of grasses to chew on with that.

That covers the edibles I know of...and your mileage may vary re the catnip
My guys get catnip more often than twice a week, no decrease in enjoyment

My Kandie like rye grass in the mix... I have catnip added to food more than twice a week... they still are nutty about it..

thanks for the input. for all interested, i found this site today:
http://www.abc.net.au/creaturefeatur...e/catherbs.htm
that lists a few more herbs for cats, including catmint and cat thyme! i also found lemon catnip seeds, how cool is that. im going to put a big planter in our sunroom filled with all of the kitty herbs that i can find. my cats were attacking my houseplants until i bought them the grass and a catnip plant... they havent touched my plants since.
