Every year I cook a HUGE pot of chili and hot dogs and have the neighbors over for Halloween. Well, this year, my son is 5 and has gotten into the "spooky" part of Halloween and I thought it would be fun to do some things to decorate the place.

Do you have any suggestions? I'm going to make a punch and freeze some of it in some gloves and let that float in the bowl. Other than that, I'm not very creative.

I just want to make it really fun for him because he's gotten away from the "characters" and is into the gouls and gobblins.

..........and it has to be quick and easy because I'm due to deliver our 2nd child in 2 weeks!!!!!!

I always liked peeled frozen grapes. They feel like eyeballs.

There are alot of cool ideals for scary food ideals on kraftsfood.com.

Make sure you rest with the baby getting so close to your due date.

just make sure the gloves arent the ones with powder on them. also the same thing works with plastic masks- poaring water into them and freasing them. Oh and never underestimate the power of dried ice (but definentally NOT in drinks lol)

I believe Martha Stewart has a special Halloween issue!!
At Hancock fabrics the other day you can by fabric stiffener and use it on cheesecloth to make "ghosts".

I found this on the Kraft site:
http://www.kraftfoods.com/main.aspx?...ecipe_id=65967

I'm going to try this and use the glove thing in here. I would love to do something spooky with dried ice but I know that I can't trust my kid not to touch it.

Now I'm on my way to the Martha Stewart site. Keep the ideas coming guys!!!!!

BTW - went to the doc today, if I don't go into labor before the 10th, I'll be induced!!! So we'll have baby on or before Oct 10th!!!

Since you mentioned hot dogs...

If you slice the hot dog length wise about 3/4 of the way up in quarters, then boil them, they make little octopus looking things as the "arms" curl up when boiled.
