I took my girl to the vet a few days ago (for urinating where she shouldn't) and the doc prescribed antibiotics for a possible UTI and a mood elevator for her anxiety. She has to take the antibiotic for 14 days and the bottle says/the doc mentioned that she has to be confined for 7 days? Does anyone know why that could be? She's really not doing well with it and I can't figure out why she has to be confined. Thanks!

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Because it might be contagious to other cats thats whats causing it, or letting her run around might get her riled up and not rest which is best when they are sick.

I can't see why either. A UTI isn't contagious, as far as I'm aware.

That could be, I suppose. He tested her urine and he thinks that is the most likely cause. He said that there was some crystallization and it wasn't as acidic as it should be so it could be stones, but he wants to see if it's a UTI before he does any further testing.
I feel so bad for her having to live in such a small area and not being able to run around and play with her sister, but what's best for her isn't always what's the most fun. Hopefully these last five days will go by quickly.
