Thank you Bridget -- that was very interesting. It even mentioned painting the locker room of the opposing team pink to make them lose energy.

So is the demeaning part that pink is traditionally a femine colour, so they're implying that the visiting team are all (Swartzenagger voice) "girlie-men"?
Oh come on, already! Can't people take a joke anymore?

Go Hawkeyes! Yea!!!!! They won their football game today

I live just a short distance from Iowa City...and they have left out one small minor detail in that article...There are(or were) also pink elephants painted in there! LOL!

Pink is a very calming color for some people, but for other's it can be very distressful. My 10yr old niece's room was a beautiful pink. Amber was going through something no one could figure out for awhile. When she was in her room, she would become very upset and even though her room is SPOTLESS, she was frantic and obsessed with redoing her dollhouse furniture, drawers, bed, closet, windows, and her toys. She would be bawling in her room most of the day because she "couldnt get it right". They were at their wits end with her and afraid she needed professional help. Then her Mom (my sister) came across some information on colors affecting people in different ways. She immediately changed the color of Amber's room from pink to lavender and did not tell Amber she had done this at first. Amber got home, went to her room, got out her books and started reading quietly not noticing the color change at first. My sister asked her how she felt, she said 'great', then she noticed the color change. The change in her was immediate! She has never had fits and distress in her room since then...she's a very smart normal little girl again.
