I have kittens and they use the litter box just fine. however, they tend to step in their own poop and track it all around my house. this is a problem because my house smells and I get stains all over the place (where ever they walk). also, I don't want to be as affectionate with them because I don't want to get stains on my clothes. Please helps me, I can't think of any solutions.

Have you tried putting a rug or pad of some kind under the litter box. That might help to catch some of what is on their feet when they exit the litter box.

I had a similar problem when my cat was a baby-- his stool was loose because of a combination of tapeworms and overfeeding. He was trying to be such a good kitten by covering it and it would just cause a mess. I suggest bringing your kittens to the vet if they have loose stool. You all will get along much better once the problem is resolved!!

I think they make wipes, similar to baby wipes, to clean off cats with this problem.
