I am curious to know how many litter boxes others have?

I have 1 litter-robot, 2 fairly large (like 2 1/2 L x 1 1/2 W x 6" H) rubbermaid containers and 4 large regular litter boxes - so a total of 7 for the 8 cats.

Normally they say 1 for each cat but that was the whole purpose of getting some really big ones, to cut down on one or two boxes. I'm thinking of actually putting one more in a different location as I have no more room where they all are now!

One homemade acrylic box about the size of a 55 gallon aquarium, and one jumbo sized normal litterbox.

Ha, okay- your "huge" litter box definitely beats my "huge" one.

It's huge

But we also have 6 cats, so I'm scooping both 3 times a day, completely dumping once a week, and scrubbing down once a month (unless someone has been sick).

My MIL has us beat though.

She has two of those large kids wadding pools in her basement for her herd.

Just one! I can't imagine how much litter y'all go through. I use one bag a week for just one average-sized, maybe a little bigger, box!

As I work at a vets I am forever emptying litter trays.
We have 11 cages in our cattery and sometimes there are 2 cats in a cage, therefore 2 litter trays. We have cats in the hospital and I have my 3 furry babies at home. On average I would say I empty about 30 litter trays a day!
Hmmmm now why is it I love my job again??????

Ha, what a great idea- kiddie swimming pool to use as a litter box!

Her home is full of both her own 'orginal' cats, and the rescues and 'unadoptable' special needs kitties, as well as her fosters (usually nursing mothers and their kids, or bottle babies).
All in all, there are 20-40 cats in her home at any one time.
She does also have several regular litterboxes for use with her fosters.

That is a great idea, but somehow, I do believe that even if it was just Harley using that as a litter box, he would STILL get litter outside of it....what a mess he makes!

One litter box for our one kitty!
