When my kitty was about 2 weeks old, the momma abandoned him, or he wandered off by himself away from his brothers. So I had to take him in but he was super tiny, so i decided that I would show his momma where he was but she would just walk away, finally i found his brothers and put him back. For about 1 1/2 half, I knew nothing of them untill yesterday. I was outside and i heard him meowing so i went to him and he ran to me so I came in and fed him once again he had wandered off. I showed his mother that i had h im and she hissed and hit him on the head and walked away. Thats when I decided that i should keep him with me because she doesn't seem to care too much about her kittens. I've had him inside for about a day, he's peed but hasn't pooped at all. I tried to make him with the wash clothe but it didn't work. I don't know what to do does anyone have any advice? He meows a lot when I don't listen to him and when i put him to sleep. I'm new to this and i hope you can help me! please.
thank you.

Awww. I have no advice since Im a new kitten owner but I just wanted to let you know Im rooting for you and your little kitty. Id say take him to a vet pretty soon and have him a good checking over......poor thing. At least he has you to love him.

I think a cotton ball is supposed to work better than a wash cloth. However he might not have gone because he is trying to adjust to a new situation. Or depending on how much space he has been given to roam about your home, he may have gone someplace and you didn't see him.

Welcome to TCS....I don't know if this is an indoor family or an outdoor family...but if the mom isn't owned...she really should be spayed once the kittens are weaned. The attached link has a list of low cost clinics in Texas:

Below are some groups that work with outdoor cats:

Small kittens may only poo once a day - So he may just have not gotten through the 24 hours yet - If it has been longer than 24 hours, then I suggest you speak to a vet.

If your kitten is running to you then he may be older than two weeks. I suggest very strongly you take him to a vet and get him checked and ask the vet about how to care for him. If he is so young and the momma has rejected him, he may be sick - momma cats do that to save the rest of their kittens. Good luck with him.

There's no place like home
You didn't mention what you are feeding this kitten. If it is truly 2 weeks old, you should have him on formula designed for cats (like KMR) and bottle feeding him every 2 hours round the clock. Kittens are unable to eat on their own at that age. If the kitten is lapping and/or eating by itself, it is probably at least 5 weeks old.

Any change in food for a kitten usually triggers either diarhea or constipation for a while. I agree with others, if the mom rejected this kitten, it needs to be looked at by a vet.
