Marlee is still having a little problem with constipation. She just finished Albon to stop diarrhea, so I'm pretty sure this is what caused, and the vet agrees. The only problem is, she will go to use the bathroom, and is able to push a little poop out but then it will stick to her butt, and she will leave the litterbox with a good size ball of poop. When I am home, I can deal with this for her, but when I am gone to class, asleep, etc. I will return or wake up to a ball or two of poop in random places. (Today on my Computer!). I just got off the phone with the vet, and he said not to worry. When I asked if there was something I could do he said no that it just needs to run its course and will get better the next day or two. I even asked about giving pumpkin live I've heard on here, and he said not to. But I just feel sorry for Marlee, her little butt is a little swollen, so I guess I should just clean it for her VERY gently with a little bit of warm water? Anyone been through this, who can give some advice?

No opinions? Oh well, guess I'll just keep on with what I'm doing. Thanks anyways!

Gosh I don`t know....but if she is under a vets care...and if she is`nt actinglike she is in pain...I`d wait the day or two the vet suggests...but if she is`nt going better on the 2nd day i`d be calling him!
I wonder if a bit of KY jelly, Vasiline or baby oil (no fragrance!) swabbed on her little pooper would help? (I did`nt mean to be so blunt....but that is waht we are talking about...right?)
I hope she is doing better soon. That can be miserable...as we all know!

If she will eat it, will more wet food help or hurt the constipation? I figure it would help, since its soft, but I'm not sure!

More wet food will help.
Try also mixing a little canned pumpkin into her wet food for extra fiber.

I'm not sure if y'all read the first post in the thread....he told me it was b/c of the anti-diarrheal she had been on last week. He said it should clear up on its own in a few days or so. Whats strange is that the poop isn't hard like you would think it would be with constipation, its fairly soft, shes just having trouble getting it all out. Sometimes she'll be okay, but usually atleast the the last little bit will stick to her butt!
