Eating problem with cat

I am feeding my kitten Chicken Soup for the Kitten Lover's Soul right now and he seems to like it, but he is always crying for "people food." He ends up eating the kibble because I now completely ignore him when I make dinner (I feed the kitties first, of course, but I made the mistake of giving him some samples of people food and he absolutely goes bonkers when I walk into the kitchen now because he thinks I'm going to give him something).

I'd like to get him a kitten food that he will like so much he'll stop begging in the kitchen for our food....

how about canned wet cat food?

I think you just have to hold firm on never again giving him people food, unless he's way off his feed and you have to get him to eat - and then I'd just give him something like boiled plain chicken.

I agree with the other poster, why not add in some canned food? Lots of flavor combos and textures out there, I'm sure there would be a couple he'd like.
