At approximately what age do kitten start losing their baby teeth? And do they lose all their teeth or only some? And do they lose more than one at once?

Thanks

All their baby teeth are in around 14 weeks or so. They start falling out at about 5 months. If you look in a 5-month-old's mouth, you might see a double set of canines as the permanent teeth come in and push the baby teeth out. It's pretty funny!

Is there the danger that they may swallow some of their baby teeth?

My little guy had his front canine accidentally ripped out with a bit of cotton...It bled a little bit but seems to be ok - Will he still be able to feed ok? And I noticed that the other canine was wobbly - Can kittens rip meat properly without their two main canines?

I'm sure he'll be able to eat just fine. I know you'll observe him carefully, and if you're concerned that he's uncomforable or not eating properly, you will want to take him in to see his Vet, of course!

My little Serenity is 16 weeks today, and at her visit with her Vet last week, her Dr. said she could begin losing her baby teeth any time!

I was just thinking about this the other day, too. Time to peek into Sophie Grace's little mouth and look around, I think. Oh, won't she be thrilled with me!

Yeah, my little guys isn't exactly thrilled when I turn him on his back and pry his jaws open! But he gets used to it.

I remember when Rocky had a double canine tooth. I looked at his mouth and was like :censor::censor::censor:? I looked again later that day and it was gone!
