Finally! Ok, I totally freaked out because the way I read it seemed like Punky Brewster (Fry) was her daughter. My boss about slapped me!

Blah that whole relationship makes me sick. She is old enough to be his grandmother!!!

IMO Age does not matter, the only thing that matters is how you treat eachother. I am very happy for them. They seem to adore eachother.

Cruise and Holmes on the other hand make me sick. LOL

She is not old enough to be his grandmother. She is 15 years older than him I think.
If it is ok for men to marry younger women it should be ok for older women to marry younger men. It is just a culture thing. I hope it lasts, for their sake.
I heard her kids call him MOD, for "My other dad", I thought that was cute.
And Bruce Willis was at the wedding. Can't get much more civilized than that.
Good for them.

Whatever floats your boat right?...as long as they are both happy that's all that matters
post #18 of 38
They always looked very happy together. I wish them nothing but the best.

Here's an article about older women and younger men: http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/09/2....ap/index.html
The couple next door to us, who have been married for decades, could also be classified as "May-December". She's 83, and he's 70, and they seem very happy together. I don't think age plays that big a role.

That's sweet. I think they look cute together, and I'm sure he makes her happy!
They seem so happy together, I think its great that Bruce Willis was at the wedding too, very civilized!
I hope their marriage lasts longer than some other ones in Hollywood!

Took the words out of my mooth. Good for Demi and Ashton. I'd love to know what all is involved in a Kabbalah wedding.

I say you go girl!!!. She looks younger and fitter than some 20+ year olds
post #25 of 38
Indeed best wishes for both of them!

One of my sister's stepsons married a woman 20+ years older than him. They seem quite happy.

Sunny is almost 7 years younger than me. When we first started dating he was 23 and I was 30. We'll celebrate 18 years in February . Age really doesn't matter. If it's right, it's right !
Why is this in IMO????

Anyway......Good for them. Let's hope it lasts, for thier sake.

Great article. With the exception of one, after all of my mother's sisters (7 of them in total) divorced, they all re-married or lived common law with men 10 years younger, or more. About half of them are still with their partners now, and have been for many years.

Last year, I could have dated a 20 year old -- a very attractive guy 12 years my junior. The problem? We worked together and the office gossip would have been way too much to bear for both of us. In ways, he treated me with more respect than previous boyfriends my own age.

My husband is 7 yrs. younger than me and I say - Girls, get 'em young so you can train them.

Am I the only one thinking he's not exactly the sort of role model I'd want for my kids? It's my understanding that the guy you see on "Punk'd" isn't much different from the "real" Ashton. There's a wonderful role model.
I can't wrap my brain around this whole thing. Maturity-wise, Demi is definitely old enough to be his grandmother, because he acts like a kid. I dunno about you guys, but I think Bruce always being around is just creepy and weird, too. Any time you see pics of them, he's always there. It's just too weird for me to understand.
