Well right now the dust and cat hair in the corners are beginning to take on a life of their own. I actually have a neat freak coming over Saturday night, so I will be doing some serious cleaning for the rest of the week!
Rigel, Rigel, Rigel...waht am I going to do with you? Beer, not tequila? My friends know that my house is a "feel free to help yourself to whatever" kind of house.
If the weather is nice, I would like to eat on the deck outside. I have a nice, quiet yard. If the weather is bad, we can head for the dining room.
As to what to serve, that is a tough one. We do have some regional specialties that I would probably make - Chourico and peppers, stuffed quahogs just to name a few. I would probably end up making a buffet type meal, and make too much as usual. For dessert, it would pick 2 or 3 out of carrot cake, cheesecake, chocolate chip cream cheese brownies, chocolate mousse cake, and magic cookie bars.
Poor Abby. If it were just one of 2 of you she would sort of be OK. She would hide and then slowly make an appearance. With 11 of you, she would probably be in the cellar all night. If we were outside though, she would sit looking through the screen door with her sad face.

I honestly think I would be perfectly happy staying in New England. I like the change of seasons, we have beaches, mountains, lakes, history, shopping, sightseeing - I could go on and on.

5.- Do you enjoy the Parades? which one is your favorite?.. I haven't been to many. I watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on TV sometimes! I am embarrassed to say the the oldest Fourth of July parade in the country is 2 towns away and I have never been!

7.- Do you have a cell phone? which brand is it? Yes. I think it is an LG. I don't pay a lot of attention. As long as it works, I don't care.

6. What do you like best about living in the North East? I like having 4 distinct seasons. I love having snow, fall foliage, it gets hot in summer, but not too hot (OK, sometimes it is too hot). We have mountains, we have beaches, we have lakes, islands, scenery, history. I have all of this within an hour's drive of where I live.
7. Are you easily offended? I can be!It really depends on who it is coming from. I can be amazingly thick-skinned with some people, and be completely offended by whatever comes out of some people's mouths!
8. When you cook Thanksgiving dinner, what do you usually make? We usually start off with chips, dips, crackers, cheese, sometimes shrimp, vegetable soup, string beans with almonds, corn, carrots, cranberry sauce from scratch, potato cheese casserole, garlic mashed potatoes, turkey, gravy, chourico stuffing, carrot cake, cheese cake. I ALWAYS overcook (as you can tell) and everyone takes home leftovers.
9. What do you usually drink with dinner? With Thanksgiving dinner, or any dinner? For a normal dinner, usually crystal light or soda, occasionally a glass of wine. For Thanksgiving Dinner last year, my brother and I split a pitcher of margaritasSometimes you need it when dealing with all of your relatives at one time!
10. When is the last time you had brisket? A few months ago we were at a smokehouse in NH and we had the "brisket" nachos. They had shaved brisket on them. Does that count?

What is your favorite part of TCS? I have learned a LOT through the forums, and think I am a better cat owner because of that, but I think the most important thing is some of the wonderful people I have met.
How often do you get on TCS? Perhaps the more important question is - when am I not on itI am usually home during the day, and we have broadband, so if I am walking by the room with the computer, I will normally pop on and she what's going on.

What a beautiful yard!!! We had a new leachfield put in so we have no yard yet - but we'll be putting either seed or an alternative down in the next few weeks. We're also having an acre cleared out in the next week or two.. I'm so jealous of your yard- I may have to do a little "copy-cat'ing".
We are having the same thing w/ the wind! They just had a warning come across the tv that is in effect until 6 tonight. I have an acre and a half of land and the 1/2 acre surrouds both sides of the house and the back. We've already had several big tree limbs come down - one up in the tree that's hanging over the power lines (I better not lose my power... I'm watching my soaps right now!). Last year we have a HUGE (like 100' high I think my husband said) poplar tree come down. It was so loud and so scary - luckily it missed the house by about 15 feet! I'm hoping we don't have another episode like that!
