When my cat, Blackbutt, became pregnant, I hoped for a calico like Blackbutt's mother, Neveah, who recently passed away. I was happy when the first born appeared to be a calico. within a few days it was apparent that she would be the spittin' image of her grandmother, with extra toes. two of Neveah's other offspring (Casper, my big boy; and a kitten given to a friend who named him ricky) had seven toes on their front paws (commonly known as hemmingway cats) i can never tell kittens sex when they are young, and never thought to look knowing that male calicos are rare. A friend of mine told me it was a male. (I could not tell) and the veterinarian confirmed. having said all this, does anyone know of another male calico hemmingway? or the genetic probability? any info would be appreciated. i am new here and will soon add pictures of all my four cats. Thanks.
