I am getting my persian in a week or so. To my knowledge she is "pet quality' which is what I wanted. What is the "typyiness" that professional breeders look for and cherish? I love the breed, always have,... I just don't know alot about them. Thanks Ramona

Your best bet is to get some of the associations (like CFA) breed standards and read them. Or if you can go to a local cat show, talk to some persian breeders there.

If your kitten is already labled as "pet", take the breeders word on it!

To be pet quality, it only take one little flaw for Persians (since there are so many competing, you have to have one 99% to standard to go anywhere). I would go to cfainc.org and look threw it, there's probably just some small details that made her pet quality.

A pet quality Persian is generally one that has a longer nose then the norm. See my Persian in my signature, that's what a show Persian should look like
