I've been hooked on the Amazing Race for the past 6 months. I started watching it last season and then GSN has been playing all the seasons so I was able to catch up.

I'm not too sure how this new "Family Edition" will work out. Some of the teams have little kids. It starts on Tuesday, and I'm going to check it out, but really.....how likly is an eight year old going to complete a road block where you have to eat a goat's head or something?

What are your thoughts?

I think they are not going to have goat head eating for a road block, but rather more family friendly type challenges. It has always seemed to be a good show and yes, I will watch it and see if they pull this off.

I don't know yet. I like Amazing Race, but I hate all the bickering and pettiness that ensues. I certainly don't want to see children acting that way, nor adults encouraging it--like telling a team a flag is one way when it's another.

I'm definitely going to watch it. I'm hooked on the GSN reruns too.

From what I've heard though, the show stays in North America. I think they do a Washington crossing the Delaware challenge and I read about the teams being at the Space Center in Huntsville, AL.

Erin

I also read somewhere that the awful Jonathan and Victoria filmed a reality show pilot for VH1

Jonathan and Victoria in a realitiy show? OMG. I think they have been the worst couple so far. I'm so glad they were booted off last night on the GSN reruns.

And the Amazing Race staying in the states isn't going to be very interesting. I like the fact you see different places in the world, and its a challange to over come the language and culture you are used to.

Ug, I don't see an Emmy for the Amazing Race this year!!!

P.S. Another thing. When you add kids to a show you usually end up killing that show. Its a known fact.

Good bye Amazing Race! Good bye!!!

Actually, it is turning out to be quite entertaining. I don't see it going off the air anytime soon. The mud bogging tonight was beyond hysterical when the family from the city smoked the competition. Loved the reward the first team to get to the pit stop received. All licensed drivers in the family at the time of the reward won gasoline for their cars for LIFE! Color me envious!

I am a huge fan of this show, I found the first episode of the first season quite by accident, and was hooked.

I love this version, because it's still The Amazing Race. What I love about the show is seeing all of the places they go, and even if they are all in North America, they are still places I haven't been.

I was not entirely convinced about having the little kids on, but I am enjoying them, and I really like the teenagers. I don't mean that I like them, I like having them on the show, it adds a different dimension.

I was sad, though, to see the dad and sons in law eliminated last night.

I've gotten into it too. I didn't think I was going to like it because I didn't want to see rude kids, but so far the only two kids have been really sweet, and they are extraordinarily cute! I didn't want to see anyone go last night but I was hoping it wasn't them!! The Italian family and the family with the whiney mom can go home.
