I haven't been able to find mine and have looked high and low for it. I am just curious if anyone has ever lost their ring, or lost it and found it and where was it when you found it?

Bad subject for me, MA....I've lost my engagement ring....twice! Hub replaced it once....and my wedding band is currently MIA....am hoping and praying that it's just "put up" somewhere out of the ordinary!

I would have an absolute heart attack if I lost mine! I'm so sorry Mary Anne, I sure hope you find it soon! I have misplaced mine a couple of times, which caused me significant stress, but have always found it, and now ensure that I always take it off at the same time and put it in the same place every day.

I never lost my wedding ring...as I am not married....but i have lost many rings before.......

two of them i found in my bedroom....One was actually in the sheets of my bed...all tangled in there....the other was on the floor near my bed.... so try there......

did you take it off???...or did it fall off???

Hubby didnt do one of those take the ring...get it engraved for some anniversary sitcom type situations...right???

Im not catholic myself...but my nana swore by Saint Anthony of Padua the patron of lost or stolen things....maybe you can give that a try......

good luck finding it

I couldn't find my engagement ring one day and was frantic!. I knew it was in the house somewhere because i had it on the dresser the night before.

I found it hours later at the bottom of the wardrobe, and could only think that i had it in my hand ready to put on while i was getting a pair of shoes out but dropped it without realising.

I always try and trace my footsteps back if ever i've missplaced anything.

I have misplaced mine from time to time in the last 18 years.
It always shows up where I least expect it. In a cubby hole, at the sink...
My cats have also knocked it off the counters and dressers so many times.
My sister-in-law lost hers 2months after she got married. She was filling sand bags for a Hurricane a few years ago when she was still in the military. She was so upset. Everytime it was mentioned she cried. Never found it either. I hope yours shows up.
I hope you find yours.

I took it off some time ago when I was doing a scrim job. I thought I had put it in a drawer that I always put my rings in- but I can't find it anywhere. It is significant- gold nugget band, our birthstones around one diamond (the diamond represents God) I would hate to lose it. Mike has upgraded it and bought me a new one, but it is not the same. The first one was designed by him and means the world to me- which is why I always took it off when I was doing my art-

Oh, my! I hope you find yours, but I had the same experience, although it wasn't my wedding ring, but had a lot of importance to me. The ring I lost was my pinky ring. It had a double heart surrounded in diamonds. My hubby got it for me right after my son was born. I told my hubby it signified both their hearts. Sweet, huh?

Just last year, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, as a matter of fact, I was outside on the porch decorating for Christmas, when suddenly I noticed the ring was GONE!!!
My hubby asked if I was sure if I had it on before I came outside. I said "Of course, I'm sure!!" Then,
got worried and thought maybe I didn't. Of course, we had been out running earlier in the day. So, off he goes retracing our steps...looking in the car, walking through the different places we had been, etc. I'm looking all over the porch, down in my flower bed, inside the house. And, of course, it's dark outside, so we're doing all this with flashlights! I'm surprised no one called the cops on us. Now, I'm frantic.
Hubby comes back, I start thinking maybe it got stuck in the Christmas tree, that we had put up just previous to my going out on the porch. So, we take the tree, and gently try shaking it, hoping the ring falls out.
Well, the ring was gone.....we couldn't find it. Everyday for the next couple weeks, I'd keep looking for it, but I finally accepted the fact it was gone.
Then, in April....yes, APRIL!! I'm standing on my porch talking with my neighbor, and look down at the edge of my sidewalk. We have one of those grass strips by the curb, and I notice what looks like a pull-tab from a soda can. So, I go down to pick it up, 'cause I don't want any of the kids to step on that in barefeet. I bend over and
it's my ring!!!!!!!!!
It had laid there all winter, through shoveling snow, people walking up and down my street, everything. FIVE MONTHS!!!
But, I got it back, so I was happy!
It was still in perfect condition, just needed cleaned.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
I, of course, have not lost a wedding ring, but this past Winter misplaced a special ring. I've searched everywhere I've imagined it could be, but as of yet have not found it. Sure hope you find your wedding ring soon, MA.

You've checked around the drawer...right.....???

ooo ooo ooo i have lost things in drawers before because they fall down cracks in the drawer...or get pushed out the back and end up getting stuck in something....or fall down into whatever the drawer is placed in.....try pulling out the drawer and searching behind it.....if you havent already....

So it sounds like it could still be in the house?!.

One of the kitts couldn't have got hold of it somehow and knocked it off and flicked it under anywhere?!.

I just heard Sophie flicking off my earrings that were on the kitchen table an hour ago so their probably under the welsh dresser by now!

Yes! As a matter of fact I did. The one time that I removed it in 12 years was to bring it to the local jewelers to have it worked on. When I arrived at the store, I looked inside the envelope that I was clutching, and to my horror, the ring wasn't there! I panicked (a sick feeling washed over me). It was raining out, and I had parked my car next to a storm drain. I feared the worst.

Upon my arrival home, my daughter (who was about 9 at the time) yelled out, "Mom! your ring!" It was on the stairs! I was so incredibly relieved.

The irony of all this, is that I found out a few weeks later that my husband was having an affair (that led to our divorce).

Hissy, I hope you find your ring. Keep looking and try to back track your steps.
Do you recall when you last had it? Do you have a dog? (my ex husband's dog once ate a ring). Could it have slipped down a sink drain? (check the traps).

Good luck in the search!

I`m so sorry that you lost your ring....I`m praying that you find it.
I have not lost my ring...but I did lose the diamond out of it once many years ago. I`d just finished running the sweeper (!!!), was hot and took the back of my hand to wipe the sweat off my neck...and dig myself with the prongs. When i looked I was in an instant tizzy, freaking out , thinking it might be in the sweeper.
I ran upstairs to my hubby, who was laying on the bed reading at the time. He toldme to calm down and he`d help me look. He siad "well you just dropped off this pile of towels out of the dryer onto the bed just before you started sweeping....maybe it caught in them".....then he reached over and picked up some of them...and there , glittering in the sunlight ,was my diamond! We were both astounded.
I`ve heard some really wierd stories about people losing their rings and then finding them again......let us know your story when you find yours!!!

I didn't really lose it. The furkids did. They knocked it off the bathroom counter I had it on when I was putting style stuff in my hair. I couldn't find it and it was right when my husband was going TDY. I was so upset. He found it underneath the tiny piece of wood underneath the counter where you couldn't see it. He was just using an old wire hanger and it came out with it. I was so relieved.

I'm not married but my boyfriend did give me a promise ring. I lost it for a while last year. I searched high and low in my house but couldn't find it. My grandmother found it when she had her washer and dryer replaced in the basement. Somehow it ended up under the washer. I have no idea how it got under there but I was very happy to find it.

I hope you find it MA.. if you're like me you'll eventually find it in an odd place. A place that seemed like a great idea at the time so you wouldn't lose it. lol But then you can't remember what that place is!

I found it!!! It was in the medicine chest inside a paper cup! I remember now, we were muddying the bathroom walls and I took my rings off and put them in a paper cup for "safekeeping"
I should have just gone and put them where I always do.
