Hello from California

Hi there,

I've been looking around this site for a while and I'm so glad I found it! I've already posted a few pictures of my kitties and thought I should formally introduce our family.

About me: Just married and a proud Army wife! And we've got two precious kitties - Geisha and Kuri (koo-LREE). We got Kuri recently, after the passing of our beloved cat Sumo. Sumo was my little buddy and he followed me from room to room, always wanting to be near me. I miss him so much and find myself bawling when I see his pictures (his passing was in early August). There will never be another kitty like him and I will never forget how special he was. But we still have little Geisha and now Kuri, so I know I can't take a single day for granted with them.

About Geisha: B-day is (approx.) 7/28/04, black and white tuxedo (although mostly white with a black tail and black patches. She loves Whiskas treats, dried shrimp treats, getting groomed, nursing on my clothes, and sleeping on any hard surface!

About Kuri: B-day is 4/4/05 (that's what they told us at the rescue shelter), he LOVES people food (actually, I need some advice about what to do about that - I'll post it as a separate question!), loves to cuddle and he sleeps ON me (neck, shoulder, across my throat!).

Welcome to TCS! Condolences on your loss of Sumo - it's always hard to lose a soulmate. BUT, Geisha is GORGEOUS!! And Kuri-oooo, what a tough-kitty, a real ginger charmer Thanks for posting the pics, they're always welcome here! I look forward to learning more about you & your family! Susan

I really enjoyed seeing piccies of your babies - they are so beautiful and seem to have bags of character. It's lovely to hear you talk about Sumos it sounds like he was a great friend to you
