There have been rumours here as well that gas prices will go up alot. They almost had fist fights at some of the gas stations in Thunder Bay and Sudbury. It's dispicable the way some people behave.

1 Gallon = 3.785 Litres
1£=$1.785

I paid £0.96 per litre this morning. That works out at £3.63 per gallon in English money. That translates to $6.49 per gallon.

Aint Life grand

That's such a good point, Gareth. We sit here and complain about gas prices rising to $3/gallon, when most of the rest of the world is paying a LOT more than we are. And they still survive.

I saw on the news that it could possibly get to $5/gallon because of all the oil refineries that could be put temporarily off-line. I live 2 hours NE of Dallas, and out city is completely out of gas and they don't know when to expect the truck, so I imagine when it DOES get here, it'll be pretty high. Luckily, I don't need any.

Right after the last hurricane it went up here in Georgia. I paid 2.99 a gallon right after that and then it went back down again after a few days. Its at about 2.70 here now I noticed today. Up a little from the day before. Here in Georgia they will have no school Monday or Tuesday to conserve fuel.

That's wild that school is being cancelled to save on gas.
And I have to agree with boys mum who said that this was all started by the ga companies.

This is quite true, and we are lucky to pay less for gas than the rest of the world does.
The bad thing is, we have an economy that's built around cheap gas. Wages and prices are based on the availability of cheap gas. When gas is cheap, we have enough money to spend on extras and retailers don't have to pay as much for shipping their goods all over our huge nation. Our cities, suburbs, and daily comutes are based on cheap gas.
It would be great if we had the infrastructure and economy to handle expensive gas, but we just don't.
So I think I am totally justified in complaining when I have to pay $2.75 a gallon to put gas in my pick-up truck which I have to drive at least 150 miles a week.

It went from $2.32 on wednesday to $2.59 thursday, so i went and filled up thursday until it was literally running down the side of my car.

They are just talking about it getting back between $3-4(closer to $4) here after the hurricane hits. But it is still around $2.70 at the moment.

it has dropped a measly few cents here in the last week or two and if the party that I support forms a coalition government then it's going to drop 5c more!
