Where I live cold weather is relative (60s is cold here), but I adjusted pretty quickly and have to wear long sleeves now when it reaches that temp in the "winter." When it gets "cold," I'm a big fan of mac n' cheese (the unhealthier the better!) with hot salsa and green tabasco and sour cream (if I have 'em around)...either that or cornbread straight from the iron skillet or stuffing! Yum...

I also like my ho-made mac & cheese. And I made and awesome Frito Pie-think thick chili poured on top of Fritoes with shredded cheese and sour cream-I know there is a booth at Oktoberfest tomorrow I'll have to have some!!

Ooh, too many to mention. Good, thick soup of some sort with fresh homemade bread, stew, chicken and dumplings, homemade mac 'n cheese, and of course, as others have said, chili. But here's the thing: you have to have it with homemade cinnamon rolls, preferably sticky buns. If you haven't tried it, do so. It's unbelievably good.

I love making a big pot of Beef Stew or Chili.
I remember starting a thread like this about a year ago. You're right on time!
I LOVE beef stew and made a big pot with nearly 3 pounds of beef and lots of potatoes, onions, and carrots just two nights ago.
Beef stew is my fav.
I haven't made chili for more than a year.
