Now that Fall has officially arrived, what do you enjoy having to eat during the cooler weather?

I love making a big pot of Beef Stew or Chili.

Mmmm.....I love cool weather!!

This morning it was so chilly I stopped and got myself a big hot chocolate...hmmmm, such a good way to start out the day, CHOCOLATE!!!

In the fall I really love making a roast and having it in the crock pot all day cooking....and it always smells so good too!

Chilli is always good too....

Great...now I'm hungry!!

Clam chowder all the way! And I love how my food tastes when it's cold because it doesn't have CAT HAIR in it (because they ain't a-shedding when it's cold!

At Oktoberfest tomorrow the scuba club sells the best clam chowder.
The recipe it very secret in fact several yrs ago Campbell Soup Co. offered the creator of the recipe $15,000 for it. Luckily they sell it by the quart too so we always buy a couple of quarts. Its the best I've had.

Roast a chicken in the oven, with potatoes, veggies and gravy...yummy!
Not to mention chili, lasagna, sheppard's pie, and fresh homemade straight out of the oven with a nice cup of tea...
Now I'm totally starving...I've gotta get lunch

hmmm...any chance you'd share the recipe?
6 hours of the house smelling comfortingly of stew sounds good to me!

It's funny you should start this thread!!! Last night I made a big pot of beef stew for supper, in celebration of the start of my favourite season.
Chili is a good one, especially for Sunday's (aka Football Day to the bf).
I'm also a big fan of coming in on a cool day to homemade potato soup. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

My mouth is watering.
But nobody has mentioned home made Mac and Cheese -- lots of cheese -- baked with a nice brown crispy crust.

I just made a big crock pot full of chili on Tuesday Karen.........it's wonderful. Do you prefer to eat yours with Italian bread, crackers, or neither?
