Hi all,

If you noticed, I posted a reply to one of the already-existing threads asking how to start a new one. Well, I realised there's this magic button one can click on to start up

As the title says, I hail from sunny Singapore, a little island with lots of stray cats. Although Singapore has come a long way as a country, there unfortunately seems to be little awareness among Singaporeans about feral cats. Their solution seems to be cull cull cull, when it should be trap, neuter, release

Anyway, more about myself. I adopted a young stray female about 3 months ago. She adopted me really. She kept coming into my garden to drink water from a pail we leave out (for watering plants), so by and by she made herself at home. Before I took her in "formally", I used to peek at her and say "Hi Cat", so that's where she got her slightly weird name of Catsy... it just evolved!

She's a very beautiful tabby something or other (can't get those colours right), domestic shorthair and I will post her pic up when I can. She's a very very good girl, love her to bits!~

Anyway, shortly after coming into my life, we realised she was pregnant. She had 4 kittens, all very very cute... I watched them being born because Catsy nearly died having them (6 hr labour!) and I had to rush her to the vet. Her oldest kitten's head was too big and she couldn't get it out by herself. All was well till a few weeks later. She caught the cat flu virus, and we had to separate her kittens from her lest they got sick too. Unfortunately, we were too late, 3 out of 4 kittens didn't survive (RIP, Sunday, Socks and Powder)

The remaining kitten still thrives and is very very hyperactive indeed. A very handsome 2 mth old boy who's a spitting image of his momma named Wukong. Most of you are from Western countries and probably are not familiar with Chinese legends, but there's a Monkey God by that name. It turned out to be a very apt name indeed, considering the amount of climbing, leaping and running he did even when he was so sick. He still ambushes his momma, drives her nuts!

So there's my very long intro, lemme just say this forum ROCKS! You guys are great at offering help and advice and sharing pix of your lovely feline families. Photos will be up when I have time, and when I figure out how to upload them

I'm sorry to hear that Catsy had such a rough time with the kittens and that 3 of her little babies didn't make it. You've done such a great thing taking her in.

I'll PM you about how to post photos
