Which shows did you used to watch that made you laugh and laugh??

English comedy was always the favourite at my place - Blackadder, The Young Ones, Absolutely Fabulous etc....

Dad was a HUGE fan of Ronnie Barker and watched everything from Porridge to Open All Hours.

And going back even further - The Two Ronnies and Doctor Who (although not a comedy)!! Compulsory viewing in my family.....lol

And I watched `Monkey' as well, without fail!

What comedies or other shows did you love growing up?

Oh, I love Red Dwarf! My brother made me watch some when I went to visit him. It was so funny.
Now my favorite excuse for anything is "I can't. The King of the Potato People wont let me."

I also really like Monty Python's Flying Circus. Only problem is I sometimes have difficulty understanding the British accent, especially when they're doing funny voices!

Other than that, I can't really think of much. Growing up, most of the shows I watched were French-Canadian shows. And thinking back on it, not very good.

Oh! The BritComs! What is it about them that appeals so much to us "Yanks" LOL? Deifinitely love them! Actually just about any of them!

My sister has gotten into the habit of making up a tea tray, complete with "biscuits"
, in the afternoon around 4 or 5ish, and then settling down to watch "Keeping up Appearances" and "As Time Goes By." I love them both. I love them all!

Oh Keeping Up Appearances I used to LOVE that!!! And I've seen As Time Goes By so many times - they are just wonderful aren't they?

I always felt so sorry for poor Hyacinth's long-suffering husband and swore I would never EVER do that to the person I married...lol

For Brit shows: Abfab(sweetie, sweetie) ,Fawlty Towers....For others: I dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Welcome Back Kotter, Three's Company, Hogan's Heroes and Gilligan 's Island...and FAME! Yes,I was a 70's tv baby
Now the latter of these shows seem so ridiculous..I think I used to find this funny!?

Ooh, yes. Keeping Up Appearances and Are You Being Served ... so funny. But I didn't watch those until I was an adult. As a kid—let's just say I lost a large part of my childhood to TV, and some of those shows I'm not sure I would find as entertaining now. M*A*S*H, yes. That was a good one with so many memorable moments. Oh, and Little House on the Prairie. I'm pretty sure I would still like that one. After all, it was based on a series of books I loved.

I love Keeping Up Apperances. My grandmother was a Hyacinth type, and she had sisters who were like Violet, Daisy and Rose. I also like Waiting for God. As far as old American shows that make me laugh, I love Get Smart, Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres (Arnold the Pig is still one of my favorite charaters of all time) and the early seasons of The Simpsons.
