Recently, in UK, some animal rights protestors dug up the body of an old lady from a cemetery. She had been distantly related to a family that bred guinea pigs for scientific research. The family & workers had been subjected to a violent campaign to put them out of business.
Well, it has worked as they are giving up breeding the guinea pigs (what will happen to the pigs? No-one knows). And surprise, surprise, the protestors haven't returned the remains of the old lady. Talk about lack of respect - I don't like the idea of GPs being used in research but I think robbing a grave of the body is disgusting and completely out of order. And then, having won their 'battle', not to return the remains, it just shows how low these people have sunk.
We should respect our dead - human or animal, not steal from them.
