You hear your doorbell. DING DONG! It's a special delivery letter from me inviting you to dinner tomorrow night. (lucky you)
When you arrive at my home, you find out that we're having liver and onions and brussel spouts. Are you a happy camper?

Mmmmm love liver and onions, don't want to be within 5 miles of it cooking though.

Oh no Cind!
Need some "Beano"?
In that case, we'll retire to the patio after dinner and put you "downwind"

I gotta admit guys, I would never serve that. UGH!! BUT, I used to LOVE when Mom fried chicken when we were kids. She would fry up the gizzards and chicken livers and we would FIGHT over who got the livers! Ummmmmm

I will still buy just chicken livers to fry them up, even if I am the only one in the house who will eat them!

Not crazy about beef liver, though. I'd eat the brussel sprouts and invite you to MY house next time, Susie!

You're on, Sooz! Love liver and onions.
Brussels Sprouts aren't my favourite, but I like them for a change. Don't forget the smashed potatoes.

I love Brussels Sprouts, so long as they're not boiled, and I confess I have never eaten liver and onions! I'm guessing I'd probably like it or at least not mind it, I'm a pretty non-picky eater.
My favorite recipe for Brussels Sprouts is this:
Take the brussels sprouts (preferably nice little ones--and fresh, never frozen) and cut them in half. Get a pan warm, and throw in the sprouts w/ some salt and pepper and about 2 pieces of chopped bacon (I use the center cut variety, lower in fat) stir them around, and when the brussel sprouts start to brown up a little, throw in a tbsp or so of minced garlic. When the bacon is cooked you're ready to go!
