Would you consider yourself a computer geek? ( I assume that meant people that can do anything to and on a computer)

My husband is a HUGE computer geek (that's how he makes a living), so some of it has rubbed off on me!

Nope, not really. I know some stuff, but not enough to be a computer geek. At one of my old jobs though they acted like I was Bill Gates or something, bc I was the only one who knew how to use Excel, Powerpoint, & the internet, lol.

Lets see.....I can use any kind of software, can fix almost every error, can set up a wired and wireless network, and I can remove and add hardware, (the stuff inside the computer). I'd say no.

No, not really. I like computers, but I'm more into the internet than the actual computer. I just let my house-mate update parts whenever he needs to and as long as I can browse and play games, I'm fine. I do love gadgets, though. I'm getting a tablet PC for school, to take notes on so I can transfer them to my computer, and my friends think I'll look like a big geek! But I don't care!

Sufficiently knowlegeable and comfortable with the basic software to help my colleagues when the IT people aren't available, also to do any installations I need to and customize them. When it comes to hardware, I can get the plugs in the right place, but anything else I leave to more knowlegeable folks. At home, I'm the software person, and Rob is the hardware person, but we're both amateurs. He's closer to "geekhood" than I.

While some would consider me a computer geek based on the amount of time I spend on the computer, I really am not since it's not like I know a lot about them or anything. Can't build them or fix them or anything, and my trouble-shooting skills can go only so far.
