I was home this past weekend and my family has 2 dogs--a chocolate lab (outside dog) and a mutt (inside dog), when I got home on Monday (i was wearing the pants I wore around the dogs) and Harley came running to me and stopped right by my legs. I went to pick him up, as always, and he hissed at me very loudly and his tail poofed out and his hair stood right on end and he jumped away!
After awhile I went and showered and I had changed clothes and he came up to me again and he was just fine...do you think he could sense the dog smell on my pants? I don't know what it was but it scared me cuz he had never done that to me before!! Either that, or could it be because I had been gone for 4 days? Usually when I am gone for a while on weekends he is never acting like that to me, he is usually sooo very affectionate and loving to me!
Any suggestions on why he might have acted this way would be very helpful!
